Emily and Reece enjoyed a gorgeous wedding at The Piazza in the Village, Colleyville Texas. This stunning couple met through friends and currently reside in the UK where Reece is from. They met after he visited the states for work and the rest, as they say, was history. It was an honor to capture this gorgeous day of two families joining together.

The bride and bridesmaids had a wonderful time getting ready for the big day. The prep room was very classy and was complete with a bar area. The girls helped Emily get ready at the end - it was like a scene from Cinderella! They had a lot of fun and drank champagne ahead of the big day. Emily was a stunning bride. She wore a mermaid style dress with a sweetheart neckline, complete with stunning lace detail. Emily had a huge smile on her face when she had a first look moment with her Father. He looked so proud of his little girl and overjoyed for the day ahead.

Reece was a character. He’s the type of guy that would bust your chops and then lift you up all in the same sentence. 60% of the guests were from the UK, so it was wonderful to see so many people who had traveled to the states for this occasion and shared so much love for the couple. The Piazza really took care of the guys too and provided meats for making sandwiches, a big TV and a wall of mirrors to help them get ready. Reece looked very smart in his dark blue suit, light gray waist jacket and burgundy tie. His groomsmen dressed to match and they all looked very handsome.

Emily and Reece had a letter reading before the ceremony. Emily was very emotional and it was an incredible moment to capture. The other photographer was with Reece, who captured his reaction to Emily’s words. It was wonderful for the couple to take this time before the ceremony and embrace the words from their partner. It really builds excitement and is an incredibly emotional moment.

The wedding took place in a small and quaint city. Colleyville is like a typical Texas town, then you turn a corner and it feels like you’re in the french quarter. The town had very pretty buildings and a gorgeous chapel. The chapel had white wood pews, tall ceilings, and amazing acoustics. It was the perfect setting for the ceremony. Candles lined both sides of the aisle and at the end of the chapel was the gorgeous, large altar where the couple said ‘I do.’ When Emily walked down the aisle, Reece looked very emotional. From the reading of the vows to the exchanging of rings, the whole ceremony was gorgeous and you could really feel the love between the couple. A bagpiper played at the ceremony, which was a wonderful touch and sounded amazing in the chapel. The excitement between Emily and Reece when they said ‘I do’ was really special and they almost danced their way out of the aisle as husband and wife.

We captured some great shots of the groomsmen, who wore socks with both the American flag and the British flag, which was a wonderful way to represent the coming together of two families. Emily stood for photographs at the altar with her gorgeous bridesmaids, who wore burgundy colored, floor-length dresses that looked beautiful. We then whisked the happy couple away for some photos of just the two of them, which gave them a bit of time to enjoy a few moments alone after becoming husband and wife.

The reception was incredible. A band played into the night, the toasts were amazing and the dancefloor was packed. The band, called Vitality, really got everyone in the party spirit and the singer was often out on the dancefloor with the guests! The first dance was stunning. Everyone smiled as Reece and Emily shared their moment on the dancefloor. They cut their gorgeous cake and then everyone just went wild for the rest of the night. The toast for the groom was pretty much a roast which was very funny. By the end of the evening, most of the men were wearing their ties on their heads, which we were also made to do by Dad!

The bagpiper played them out at the end of the night and the guests blew bubbles as they headed off from what had been the most amazing day. I hope you two have an incredible time starting your new lives together in the UK. Make sure you come back to visit us and we want to say once again congratulations on his beautiful marriage.
