For more than one reason, we were pumped to shoot at The Everly Event Space. For one, Chelsea & Beau were such a sweet couple. But also, we hadn't gotten a chance to shoot here yet! The venue is nestled in the heart of the Crossroads in Kansas City, Missouri, and after stalking the venue on social media, we were very eager to shoot there. When we got there, the place did not disappoint. The venue features beautiful wooden floors, large floor to ceiling windows and unparalleled hospitality.

We began with photographing Chelsea’s beautiful details: her gorgeous tulle wedding dress from Bridal Boutique of Lewisville, stunning jewelry, gorgeous blue shoes (that she used for her something blue) and beautifully arranged flowers. We then moved into the bridal suite where Chelsea put on her dress and completed her final touches of getting ready. Shortly after getting ready, Chelsea did a bridesmaid reveal with her six best friends where she showed off her dress to them for the first time. After the enthusiastic reveal with her best girls, Chelsea shared a heartfelt first look with her dad where she presented him with a gift: a tie she had embroidered with the words, “Dad, of all the walks we’ve taken, this one is my favorite.” Talk about pulling on your heartstrings!

After the first look with Chelsea’s father, Greg, Chelsea and Beau read aloud their letters to one another. It was a VERY emotional moment for everyone involved (even us who were shooting.) There wasn’t a dry eye in earshot. Their words to one another were so beautiful and you could tell they mean the world to one another. We love capturing love like theirs!

After we got all of the crying out of the way (for now) we headed outside in the cold to take some bridal party and bride and groom portraits. Chelsea, Beau and the rest of their bridal party were troopers. They braved the freezing cold and scattered sprinkles. It was well worth it though, because their wedding photos were amazing!

After capturing all of the bridal party photos and bride and groom portraits, we geared up for the ceremony, and let us tell you IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Chelsea and Beau exchanged their vows, rings and were pronounced husband and wife in front of their closest friends and family. After the ceremony, the large space was converted into a beautiful reception space. The tables were decorated with beautiful flowers and china. Chelsea and Beau shared in their first dance, cut their cake, heard heartfelt speeches from some of their favorite people and danced the night away.

We loved being a part of Chelsea and Beau’s BIG day! We feel privileged to be trusted to capture all of their most cherished moments. Thank you, guys, for sharing your love story with us!
