Sarah and Nicholas enjoyed a gorgeous, traditional Catholic wedding in downtown Dallas, Texas. This fun and charismatic couple were a joy to capture and it was a pleasure to witness their marriage.
Sarah was a stunning bride. She wore a white, floor-length, lace gown that looked perfect on her. Sarah's hair was placed in a beautiful updo, and her look was completed with a stunning veil, that flowed from her hair all the way to the floor. The bride and her bridesmaids had a lot of fun prepping for the day and getting their make-up beautifully applied by a fantastic make-up artist. The gorgeous bridesmaids wore elegant black dresses and each of them looked wonderful.
Sarah and Nicholas exchanged letters before the day commenced. It was a heartwarming moment seeing them read the words from their partner ahead of their vows. Nicholas looked very smart and handsome in his gray suit. His groomsmen wore suits to match, with black ties which worked wonderfully with the bridesmaid dresses.
The happy couple married at the Christ the King church. It was a stunning ceremony. The church had incredible works of art and almost golden looking pews. The guests looked elated as they arrived for the special day. Sarah and Nicholas smiled from ear to ear when they saw each other at the altar. They said their beautiful vows, exchanged rings and were pronounced husband and wife.
It was a beautiful day outside, so we headed outdoors to capture some shots of the happy couple. It was a joy to take the couples portraits; Sarah and Nicholas were naturals and it was easy to capture stunning, candid shots of the two of them. It was a lot of fun shooting Sarah and her bridesmaids too; there was a lot of laughter shared as they posed with their beautiful bouquets. The laughter was also shared between Nicholas and his groomsmen, who posed in funny and kooky ways. The bride and groom chose amazing locations for their photographs. Turtle Creek was one of these locations, which is a small park by Dallas County Park.
The reception took place at Eddisons, a quaint and vintage feeling venue in Downtown Dallas. It had a real 40s / 50s vibe. The owner gave us special permission to take some photos from the roof. As the sun set, we took even more stunning shots of the couple and it was wonderful to see the love shared between them.
Later in the evening, amazing toasts were shared, the cake was cut and the guests danced in the softly lit room. It was a lot of fun and was full of humorous moments. I joked that the final song should be 'Pony' by Ginuwine. Little did I know, the groom actually had an interesting story about Ginuwine, and continued to explain that the rapper tried to pull Sarah on stage at a gig once. It was a very funny moment and so brilliant to hear this story.
After a night filled with dancing and laughter, the wonderful bride and groom departed through a sea of sparklers, to begin their life together as husband and wife.
Congratulations Sarah and Nicholas on your wedding day. I wish you both the best and it was a joy to work with you. We really really pleased you loved the photos.
