Parker County, Texas has been known for its peaches, but now should be making a name for itself with great wedding venues. One such wedding venue is The Orchard, located 20-30 minutes northwest of Fort Worth near Azle. If you are looking for green scenery, flexible choices, and a beautiful setting, The Orchard might be the perfect venue for you.
Let's start with the venues themselves. Featuring two separate locations (The Venue and The Pavilion & Arbor) The Orchard has several options to fit what you are looking for on your big day. Looking for a great rehearsal space, or a picturesque location for a smaller ceremony? The Pavilion has you covered. This open-air pavilion loves the Texas night sky, features a large rock-stack fireplace and is nestled inside of hundreds of oak trees, and certainly would make for a unique and memorable night. When we got to work with Christina and Gleen, however, they went with The Venue.
Surrounded by 100 acres of Pecan trees, this venue location could not be more beautiful. The Venue is the main event space, featuring a ceremony location at The Pergola, a cedar awning located under one of the 100-year-old pecan trees with a pond and fountain in the background. But before we get to The Pergola (probably the most iconic look from The Orchard) we have to talk about where the day started. Christina got ready in the bridal suite that, let us tell you, was extraordinary. So much space. A six-seat vanity mirror, multiple couches, love seats, and armchairs, not to mention the wall of full-length mirrors. A lot of bridal suites can feel pretty cramped and sometimes poorly lit, but not this one - it made getting ready so much easier.
Gleen didn't have anything to worry about either - the groom's cabin was equally a great spot to get prepared for the day. White walls and ceilings, pool table, satellite tv, and a gaming system, this was a place that none of the groomsmen minded spending the whole day in if they had to. There was even cornhole and horseshoes right outside.
After a sweet first look with her father, Christina and her girls took pictures in front of the stacked stone wall in the Plaza. The Plaza is a 2,000 square foot covered area that had lights strung through the exposed beams in the ceiling. You can use the fireplace if you are feeling a bit chilly, or the ceiling fans if you need to cool off. Many events use this space as a cocktail hour or even the main location for the reception, as it makes for a good dance floor location too.
If they would have opted for an indoor ceremony, the couple could have used the Pecan Room, but now it is time to go back to The Pergola. I mean, wow. This was a beautiful setting, and as an added bonus, the pecan trees provided a nice shade for all of the guests and wedding party. In case you couldn't tell yet, both Christina and Gleen were super excited about the day, and their ear-to-ear smiles let everyone know it. After the ceremony, the wedding party took some group shots out on the grass in front of the pond, and we snuck the couple back in front of The Pergola for some couples portraits. Then, it was time to head inside for the reception.
The inside of the Orchard is as stunning as the outside setting. A large, well-decorated space, it can be set up to accommodate as few as 50 guests or as many as 400. Classy crystal chandeliers sit above the stained concrete floors that make everywhere in the building danceable. After the first dance, Christina and her dad broke out a dance routine that started sweet before it morphed into an indoor-sunglass-wearing choreographed good time. A singular cake would not do for such a big day, so the couple had dozens of cupcakes available in addition to the wedding cake and the Nike themed Groom's cake.
When the light outside started dipping below the trees, we snuck the couple back outside for a few more portraits. Then it was back inside for the rest of the night's activities, including private last dance, before it was time for the sparkler exit. The staff made everything run super smooth, each event went off without a hitch.
We had a blast working with Christina and Gleen, and we can't wait to go back to the Orchard for more photos and videos to shoot at their one of a kind venue. Because of all of their options, the flexibility, and their beautiful setting, The Orchard is one of Epic's favorite wedding venues in Texas!
